This makes them ideal for special applications and motorcycle racing.
The gel electrolyte structure helps prevent plate sulfation and acid stratification, common causes of deterioration in sealed lead-acid batteries, thereby extending battery life and service duration.
BC Battery batteries are characterized by a structure in which the electrolyte is suspended in gel form. This gel structure prevents acid stratification and improves the battery’s resistance to vibration and deep discharges compared to the liquid electrolyte found in sealed lead-acid batteries.
Usable from -40°C to +50°C
Gel batteries generally have a wider operating temperature range than sealed lead-acid batteries. They are more resistant to both high and low temperatures, which is an advantage for motorcycles exposed to changing weather conditions or stored in unheated spaces.
The gelled electrolyte ensures a more even distribution of ions during discharge, allowing the battery to deliver consistent power over time.
The gel electrolyte has a 3D network structure. During the charging process, it guides the oxygen generated horizontally toward the negative plates, where recombination with the generated hydrogen takes place. It reduces moisture loss and increases sealing performance and battery life.
Safe (no acid transport since no acid container is supplied with the battery).
